Hi. Before we go into this, you say "The best". There is no "Best" option. Only what you are best suited for and/or whats best suited for the job at hand. Always bare this in mind
I always play my warrior as a monk. Very rarely I change.
I mainly play this because a warrior is basicly the human wall. In many groups they are seen as the up front guy that takes all the fire. I.E, a tank. So, presuming this is what you play a warrior as you are going to have to heal right? So, naturally a monk is best suited for this. Sure there is healing signet but you cant get your long term healing like Healing Breeze and such. Most W/Mo use Mending as a buff. I dont do this as I like to have energy on suplly when its needed. This is the main reason for a W/Mo. I guess its strenghs are;
Warrior can take alot of damage reduced by armour which say mesmers or elementalists cant. They have stances and shouts which can also aid in the act of defense.
Monk can buff up your health and provide the long term healing that is sometimes needed while fighting.
The weakness's would probably be enchantment removal for most W/Mo's for Mending or other such skills? A warriors main weakness is blindness and cripple. If you are trying to fighting a caster and get crippled from something else it is extremely hard to catch them and fight again. As caster can fight from a distance it is handy to them. Blind is much the same. You cant hit... and so on.
Many other weakness's I am sure. There are just a few.
When it comes down to a W/R, W/E, W/Me these are mainly used for certain jobs. Like a W/Me can either be used for IDS farming or different things. I havnt met much people that play a W/Me fo general usage. W/R are used alot or IWAY PvP builds. They again have other jobs around Tyria which other people are best suited for. W/E again are used as a Gale warrior in PvP sometimes now in PvP. Its seems to be popular. So, most other warrior second professions are used for different jobs. Either running, farming or fighting in certain aspects of the game.
I probably am only putting one light on this subject as I play W/Mo and none of the others. So, it would be good to here from others that play differently so we can get an all round view.
I hope this helps you
Weeping!

i play a warrior/mesmer combo, and it's actually a lot better than most people give them credit for. for example, combining sever artery, gash, hamstring, and epidemic will cause all the monsters in the immediate area to bleed, loose 20% of their health, and move at half speed. also, their stances such as physical resistance, mantra of flame etc last EXTREMELY long (for stances anyways), and are always useful. lastly, the mesmer enchantment sympathetic visage will turn any warriors attacking you into useless meatballs, which is pretty good in pvp.
remember, this is guildwars, not diablo II. there's no such thing as a "best" class combo. my combo's major weakness is obviously energy, since warriors have no natural energy regeneration bonuses and low energy to boot, which means that i'm stuck with gladiators gear forever. the lack of a continuous healing spell is also a weakness which my combo will never get around.

To much warriors. Most warriors are Noobs, they usually think, "Hey, im a warrior, you heal me and i tank anything" runs off in battle, dies, and curses out the monk.
I said "Most," because you do need some skills on being a warrior. But as i said, theres too much warriors, to litle mesmers and monks

I usually play either W/Me or W/N unless i am farming ( important to note i started as a w/r...)
W/Me is definitely my favorite. I don't focus as much on dealing damage as i do
minimizing dmg taken. I usually you sword skills, which require a good deal of energy as well. Thus i dable in inspiration, tactics, and swordmanship.
Inspiration i end up using physical or elemental resistance ( i usually like to know which enemies i'm going to fight first. If there is a mixture of enemies i usually use PR and keep my eyes peeled for eles.
To combat lack of energy, I usually cast spirit of failure on an enemy, which gives me about +4 energy per miss to me. Between this and a zealous sword, I can keep my energy up quite efficiently.
Also in lieu of the zealous sword, I use flurry or bonetti's D as another stance when i need energy.
As W/N i put a much heavier focus on dmg dealth with skills like touch of agony, and vampiric touch. I also use blood renewal to keep my health regen up/ combat degen.

Actually with the sudden rush of 55hp monks you cant get enough monks untill you reach about Droknars. And maybe around Maguuma as it is easy to skip that half of the game.
Most people make a monk and spend a total of about 7k to run to the desert. Then they rush through th missions and make there 55hp monk.
And yes I totaly agree. Alot of warriors are stupid. Like I always say, a descent player doesnt need a monk to stay alive. This is probably because yet again. You cant farm with say and ele or a mes. So people make the W/Mo and rush to try and farm griffons. Much like monks. So when you enter a PUG your stuck with a W/Mo idiot that is better suited for a Ele and a total fool of a Monk that is only here to run through the mission so he can farm with his 55hp build...
But there are still the 50% of the W/Mo's and Mo's that are suited to their role and play a good game!

generally a monk with only 55hp, and uses a monk skill that allows you to only take 10% max life damage per hit. with 55hp, all your healing skills becomes extremely effective, and it actually takes 11 hits to kill you because of quirks in how the game handles rounding and such.
